Christmas opening hours: the History Centre will close at 12.30pm on Saturday 21 December and will reopen at 9.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025
The History Centre's opening hours are:
Tuesday: 9.30am-4.30pm
Wednesday: 9.30am-4.30pm
Thursday: 9.30am-4.30pm
First and third Saturday of the month: 9.30am-12.30pm
Our next open Saturdays will be:

- 4 January 2025
- 18 January 2025
- 1 February 2025
- 15 February 2025
We open at 10am on the third Tuesday and the following Thursday of every month for staff training. The next dates are 21 and 23 January and 18 and 20 February.
As spaces are limited in our searchroom we recommend that you book in advance to secure a place and order the items you want to see so that they are available for you on arrival. Please see our Searchroom page for more details.
