Lecture Theatre

What is the Lecture Theatre?

The Lecture Theatre is a warm and welcoming space which is used for a range of purposes including teaching, the lunchtime club talks and our successful History Maker craft and Lego sessions.

The space can be booked by local groups and societies for events, talks, launches etc.

How many people can it hold?

The Lecture Theatre seats up to 100 people in lecture style. It can be split into two rooms, the Hollar Room and the Gray Room, to accommodate smaller groups.

What equipment will we find in the Lecture Theatre?

Each area is equipped with an integrated audio visual podium to allow for presentations including sound. The facility supports the use of external laptops to project onto the screen and includes access to the internet.

If you have a wifi enabled device there is free wifi throughout the public areas including the Lecture Theatre. The password changes each month so look out for notices in these areas.

How much does it cost to hire the Lecture Theatre?

Costs vary according to individual requirements, please contact us for further details.

Can we order refreshments for our event?

There are different arrangements depending upon whether the event is organised through the City Council, the University or is an external booking. Please speak to Martin Taylor (contact details below) in the first instance.
