From time to time we offer volunteer placements to help support project work at Hull History Centre.

Volunteer placements might involve helping us to enhance our existing indexes and catalogues, clean and repack collections, digitise material, and undertake research for audience engagement activities.

Any available volunteer opportunities will be advertised on this page when available. At such times, we will provide a short application form and contact details for you to register your interest.

Please note that we cannot accomodate requests for volunteer placements outside of advertised opportunities.

Current Opportunities

From April we will be running a volunteer programme to support the development of the University of Hull's own archival heritage. Available projects include digitisation work, repackaging for conservation needs, and the creation of audience engagement content. This opportunity is open to University of Hull students at any stage of their studies. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from anybody else.
