Are there maps which show where the bombs were dropped?
At C TSY/2 we hold maps which show where bombs fell on the city between 1940-1943.
C TSY/2/2 contains a set of 12 maps of the Hull area (scale 5.5 inch=1 Mile) indicating the type and position of each bomb falling on Hull in specific raids during the Second World War.
C TSY/2/3 contains a set of 1928 edition Ordnance Survey maps of the Hull area (scale 1:2500) indicating war damaged properties. These were compiled just after the Second World War.
We also hold colour coded Ordnance Survey sheets indicating war damaged properties letter coded to identify houses, public buildings, shops and industries. These are held at C TSY/3 and C TSY/5.
