Explore Hull’s war time heritage with the Yorkshire Film Archive
Films held by the Yorkshire Film Archive captured key moments in Hull during the Second World War; from the devastating effects of the blitz, the experiences of evacuees, the visits from King George and Queen Mary, and from Winston Churchill, all endeavouring to boost morale through the darkest hours, to the sheer relief at the news of peace, and the exuberance of the victory celebrations.

In addition to watching the films you can share your memories with the YFA Curator and find out about the Hull on Film project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Free event - just drop in, the film will be shown throughout the day.
